Canadian Veterinary Medical AssociationOur Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) sets accreditation standards for Animal Health Technologist/Veterinary Technician education, assesses new and existing programs to ensure compliance with those standards, and reviews and proposes amendments to current accreditation requirements.

Accreditation is important because the Nova Scotia Veterinary Association requires that Registered Veterinary Technicians pass the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Examination), and candidates are only eligible to write this exam if they have graduated from an accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
