Train to work as a Business Office Administrative Assistant
The Business Office Administrative Assistant program provides our students with the knowledge and tools to become important members of any business office environment.
Students gain a foundation in office and accounting procedures combined with an understanding of the business environment. They’ll proceed to become professionals in this field and undertake a number of administrative duties that assist managers and employers from both the public and private sectors.
Often the people filling these roles are the heartbeat of an organization doing important day-to-day tasks that help the business run on a day-to-day basis. This can include, but not be limited to preparing and issuing documents such as bills, invoices and inventory reports, verifying and reconceiving accounts receivable and payable, compiling budget data, responding to customer inquiries, maintaining good customer relations, problem solving and other clerical duties.
Career Ready in 14 Months
Students can begin their new career after 12 months in the classroom followed by 240 hours of on-the-job training. During each student’s time at Maritime Business College they will have Christmas, spring and summer breaks along with all statutory holidays.
